Repo Tycoon

An idle game about growing an open source project, seeded every night from GitTrend's dataset of real trending repositories.

How we build

A small team running production for two products. Claude Code is how that scales: it writes features, ships fixes and runs operations alongside us, under rules we keep in the repositories.

Claude Code in every workspace

Development happens in self-hosted Coder workspaces with Claude Code built in. Across our three GitHub organisations, more than 190 commits carry a Claude co-author trailer.

Infrastructure as code

Every server has a repository that mirrors what runs on it. A change counts only when the host and the repo agree, and a diff script proves it before and after every change.

Operations with proof

TLS renewals are tested with dry runs, brute-force filters are tested against real log lines, and backups count only after a full restore has matched live data.

Lessons become rules

When something fails silently, the fix includes a written rule with the cost and the date it happened. Claude Code reads those rules at the start of every session.
